Jom Download!

Hari ni tapirbest nak share mcm mana nak download anime/tvseries/movies/drama/software dari internet.. kalau ebook, manga, mp3 & other small2 stuff tu rasanya direct download lagi senang dapat.. semua yg tapirbest explain ni ialah ape yg tapirbest selalu guna – “TORRENT”

tapirbest percaya, banyak lagi method lain untuk dapatkan semua stuff tu… eg. P2P(Morpheus, kazaa), mirc, FTP, direct download HTTP.. dll.

Okeylah, berbalik pada tajuk tadi, untuk download dengan torrent, ape yg diperlukan:

• Internet connection; preferably broadband

• Computer

• Torrent software.

Untuk tutorial ni, tapirbest hanya cover untuk computer yang pakai….

• - Streamyx as broadband connection

• - Windows XP as operating system

• - uTorrent as software

Special note: Broadband Connection

Dah pakai Streamyx, dukacite pulak diingatkan sesetengah line streamyx yg kite pakai telah di”CAPPED”kan oleh TMNet. Maksudnya, TMNet limitkan download/upload speed sebarang data transfer yg berbentuk P2P. Nak tau samada line streamyx tu telah dicappedkan atau tidak hanya boleh diketahui masa nak download guna utorrent nanti. Kalau surf kat website boleh achieve 100% speed broadband, TAK semestinya boleh dapat 100% speed untuk download guna uTorrent.

Sebagai contoh, untuk connection 1MB streamyx package patutnya dapat up to 100kb/sec download speed. Tapi kalau dah kena capped.. utorrent download akan show 2kb/sec – 20kb/sec speed SAHAJA.

Dalam tutorial ni, tapirbest assume line streamyx yg digunakan adalah pure, belum dicappedkan oleh TMNet. Kalau dah kena capped, jangan risau, ada solution lain cuma x free.. nanti tapirbest explain dalam post lain.. – VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Broadband dah ada, computer dah ada… ape lagi…

• Download & install utorrent
  

a. Configure…

• Then configure windows firewall. (router firewall pun kena configure kalau guna router tp xkan diterangkan di sini)

a. Right click computer icon kat tray icon@toolbar.

b. Untick “Don’t allow expections”

c. Pilih tab “Exception”, Click “Add Program”, then cari program “utorrent”

d. Still under tab “Exception”. Click “Add Port”, masukkan 5 digit, click “TCP”, click “OK”

e. Ulang step d, guna 5 digit yg sama, click “UDP”, click “OK”

f. Sekarang make sure ada tanda “tick” kat dalam “Exception List” yg baru kita tambah tadi

3. Configure also any 3^rd party software yg related ngan firewall (eg: ZoneAlarm, Norton, etc etc) – since different software need diff configuration, I’ll skip this step.. sendiri buat ok. tapirbest pakai AVG + Antivir.. so far x perlu configure ape2).

4. Last skali… try guna this torrent file untuk test connection – Ubuntu

(sepatutnya download speed antara 80kb/s – 100kb/s untuk 1MB streamyx package)

Please note:

· (1) – kalau this balloon show sign hijau, maksudnya all set, port firewall dah dibuka untuk this program. Kalau kaler “merah” maksudnya ada port yg kena blocked. Untuk detail step bukak port untk various router model, please refer here – http://www.blogger.com/www.portforwarding.com

· (2) – ni akan tunjukkan total download speed untuk semua torrent yg ada

· (3) – jumlah dalam kurungan ialah jumlah yg seeder/peer yg directly connected to the system. Yg luar kurungan tu ialah jumlah available seeder/peer in the network (sharing the file)

· Seeder – jumlah yg ada complete file, peers – jumlah yg tengah download. Jumlah available seeder/peer jugak jadi penentu download speed respective torrent.

· (d) – ETA – jangkaan masa bila download akan complete.

Interesting Site for torrent

· Mininova – search engine (refer note)

· Tokyotosho – for anime/jdrama

· D-Addicts – cari bahagian “torrent”. For JDrama, KDrama.

Note: If possible, try cari torrent yg ada banyak seeder. Di site Mininova, sort by “seeder” dan prioritykan torrent yg ada jumlah seeder paling banyak.

SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Dear Valued Customers,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to announce that there is a disruption of its Internet services due to circuit faults on the SMW3 between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia to Hong Kong and APCN2 near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States. As a result, customers using the Internet services may experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the U.S. and Hong Kong.

In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the U.S. and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been rerouted to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. However, during the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience degradation. However, traffic to other countries will not be affected. TM expects complete recovery of its services by 5 April 2009 and will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.

dah la tu.. ada report mengatakan streamyx sengaja mengada2kan alasan undersea cable issue la ape la.. sebenarnya diorg ni kena attack ngan Conficker C worm @April Fool's worm... keji la weii..
